Happy Birthday Daddy

Daddy is 37 years old! We love him very much and hope he had a wonderful birthday. Mommy made him a raspberry chocolate cake.

Evan is 7

For the past few years, Evan has told us that he didn't want to have a birthday, or a birthday party, because he didn't want to grow up. This year he was okay with the idea and was especially excited to have a birthday party with his friends. He only wanted to invite two friends so we took them to a trampoline park to jump their little hearts out. After we came home for lunch and cake. Of all his presents, the one he was most excited about was his new fish tank. He had been asking for a fish for months and we had been having him do chores to earn it. We now have 6 rainbow glowfish and they are lots of fun for the whole family.

Ice and Snow

We didn't get much snow this winter, but when it came we made sure to make the most of it, outside and inside.

Mommy bought lots of wood so when it was cold outside we'd be cozy inside.

We gave Evan a few choices for things he could sign up for this winter and he chose Ice skating. He was a little disappointed that he couldn't just step out onto the ice and glide perfectly. After a while though, they had him doing forward and backward swizzles, which he was pretty proud about. He enjoyed it so much he was sad when we told him he couldn't do a third session because we were signing him up for soccer in the spring.

Merry Christmas 2016

We had a great Christmas this year with lots of presents and family fun. Christmas was a bit more low key this year because our cousins in Maryland were sick so instead of driving up to visit them after church, we just played with our toys and for dinner we made a yummy Christmas pizza

Happy Thanksgiving

We hosted Thanksgiving this year because we finally have a house big enough to have our family over. Uncle Brent, Aunt Emily, and all their kids came. We ate lots of yummy food and decorated Gingerbread houses. Mommy made real gingerbread houses with red and green windows and the kids had a lot of fun sticking as much candy to their houses as they could hold.
